The National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) is a membership body of organizations and individuals who share a commitment to helping people who receive community human services to live self-determined lives. NADSP Annual Meeting - 4/10/2010

Please consider joining us for NADSP's annual meeting. We'll meet on April 10, 2010, in New Orleans, the day before ANCOR's upcoming Management Practices Conference and Trade Show. Our annual meeting is an important opportunity to add your voice as NADSP's membership and influence grows.

NADSP Portfolio Reviewer Training - 4/9/2010

This interactive day-long workshop focuses on teaching participants to evaluate portfolios submitted by DSPs across the country seeking the NADSP DSP-Certified credential. Workshop participants will learn authentic assessment skills, and will leave the workshop prepared and expected to conduct ongoing candidate portfolio reviews with other trained reviewers. Participants will:
  • Learn about the NADSP mission, goals and credentialing process
  • Recognize the NADSP skill, knowledge and ethical qualifications necessary to achieve DSP-Certified status
  • Identify the importance and components of the portfolio
  • Discriminate between three levels of mastery in a portfolio work sample
  • Effectively work in teams and assist in facilitating learning throughout the day
  • Have fun and help us learn from you!

    • Location:
    The Sheraton Hotel
    500 Canal Street
    New Orleans, Louisiana
    (Same location as the ANCOR 2010 Management Practices Conference, which begins on April 11, 2010. You will receive specific room and additional information with confirmation of your registration.)

    Date: April 9, 2010

    Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
    (We will take an hour-long break for lunch. Lunch will be on your own.)

    Cost: $25 per attendee
